10 Jobs That Should NOT Exist in 2023 – Yet Somehow We Still Pay People to Do Them

As I write this, thousands of writers strike for fair pay, AI circulates modern media, and advanced machinery has replaced a hundred jobs that used to exist.

Here are ten positions still among us today that society speaking in an online community thinks we could do without. Do you agree that these jobs should no longer exist?

“As a former car salesman, I partially agree. I see no reason a person shouldn’t be able to order a vehicle from the manufacturer. Corporations can do it,” one writes.

Half of the users believe self-checkouts replaced human cashiers long ago, while others believe human cashiers remain necessary since self-checkouts malfunction frequently.

This profession is irrelevant to those in the South, but in some states like Oregon and New York, gas station workers come out and pump the gas for you. A nice gesture but a needless one.

During their shift, they prepare towels, turn on the sink, and offer you mints or other goodies for purchase. It’s customary to tip.
