Americans are angrier than ever. According to CBS News, 84% of people think Americans are angrier than a generation before, and 42% admitted that they themselves were angrier.
However, not all states are the same when it comes to rage. Some states are exponentially more angry than others, so it’s good to know where you are on the scale.
Alabama is the angriest state and scored 100 on the index. The stats report 9.6 percent of people posting hateful online comments and 1.3 road rage fatalities per capita.
Vermont has an anger index score of 55.34. While fatalities caused by road rage and road rage fatalities per capita amount to zero percent, this state has a high number of hate crimes, at 5.29 percent.
However, road rage incidents continue to cause 5.7% of fatalities. Adding fuel to the fire is 6.9 percent of people posting toxic internet comments and 2.13 hate crimes per capita.
