If you want to get serious about saving money on groceries: – Don’t go shopping without a list. – Know what you’re going to buy before you’re in the store.

We buy frozen fruit, vegetables, and almost anything else that will keep for longer than a week this way.

You can save a lot of money on groceries by planning your meals in advance, and making an easy rotating meal plan.

I’m not going to lie. Shopping at Aldi changed our life. Without changing the types of groceries we bought, we cut our budget by $100 a month just by doing most of our shopping at Aldi.  

Save Money on Groceries by Buying in Bulk

For any staples in your grocery shopping, try to buy in bulk when you can. Rice and beans are a good example.

This goes back to planning ahead, and trying to stick to purchasing food items that can be used in multiple ways.
